Botfield (pictured) is a tenacious 27-year-old central midfielder who was originally involved in
the youth ranks at Walsall before later joining Halesowen Town.
In
the summer of 2013, he signed for Evesham United whilst studying in
Gloucestershire and a year later he linked up with Tividale ahead of their
2014/15 campaign in the Northern Premier Division One South before he headed to
the USA in 2015 for a football scholarship.
During
his time in the States, he played for Lenoir-Rhyne University and Asheville
City.
Upon
returning to England, he signed for Alvechurch, and he helped the
Worcestershire side to win promotion from the NPL Division One South in 2017/18
and then reach the Southern Premier Division Central play-offs the following
year.
He
left for rivals Stourbridge before re-joining `Church in the summer of 2020.
Parsons
is an experienced 33-year-old defender who joins the Scholars from new league
rivals Bedworth United.
He
had signed for the Greenbacks in late October 2020 from then-Southern Division
One Central rivals Halesowen Town.
He
had joined Halesowen in May 2019 from Southern Premier Central side Redditch
United having been signed by Yeltz boss Paul Smith for the Reds in October 2018
from Alvechurch.
He
helped `Church win back-to-back promotions from the Midland League to Southern
Premier after joining from Tividale. |
