Adelekan
played for the club under the stewardship of Paul Rawden and Russ Cousins in
2019/20.
The
defender came through the youth system at Dagenham & Redbridge and was part
of the under-18 side that won the London Cup.
He
then signed for Essex Senior League side Walthamstow and had two seasons there
before joining Rushall Olympic, and then onto the Gingerbreads before a spell
at Alfreton Town in the Vanarama National League North last season.
Grantham
have also signed 29-year-old striker Nathan Modest (pictured).
The
experienced 29-year-old joins the Gingerbreads having been with NPL Division
One East side Pontefract Collieries since September 2020.
He
had moved to Colls from Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier
Division outfit Barton Town, for whom he signed for in March 2020.
He
has previously played in the Football League for Sheffield Wednesday where he
made 4 appearances between 2008 and 2011, having graduated through the
Wednesday academy and reserve teams, making his first team debut in December
2008, aged 17 years and 82 days.
He
has also played for England Schoolboys.
He
later playing for Sheffield FC, Worksop Town, Lincoln United, Gloucester City,
Hednesford Town, AFC Telford United, Evesham United, Rainworth Miners Welfare, Mickleover
and Bridlington Town. |
