Gonzales
is an experienced forward who re-joins the Blues from league rivals Ramsbottom
United.
The
29-year-old started the 2019/20 season with Colne after arriving from Droylsden.
He
moved to Northern Premier outfit South Shields in late December 2019 before
switching to rivals Matlock Town in June 2020. However, he left two months
later to join Ramsbottom without playing a game for the Gladiators.
He
signed for the Bloods in November 2017 after a brief spell with
Clitheroe.
He
had only just returned to Clitheroe for a third time, having been with
then-National League North side FC United of Manchester. And he had only joined
FC United a month earlier after joining from Altrincham.
The
6`4” striker had joined Alty from Stockport County, where he was signed in the
summer of 2015 from Clitheroe, where he had scored 41 goals in his eighty
appearances.
Prior
to joining Clitheroe for the first time, he had played for both Kendal Town and
Droylsden and had also enjoyed brief spells with Chorley and Stalybridge
Celtic.
Clitheroe
have also signed winger Jamie Edwards from North West Counties League
neighbours AFC Darwen.
The
attacking wide man started his career as a youth player at Blackpool.
Turner,
meanwhile, boasts a pedigree as an academy player at Liverpool before a spell with
Clitheroe`s league rivals Runcorn Linnets last season.
The
20-year-old makes the switch from Cheshire outfit Winstanley Warriors. |
