Signing
on contract is 24-year-old forward Danny Rowe (pictured), who joins the Stags from Isthmian League Premier Division side Leatherhead.
He
had joined the Tanners in February 2020 from Vanarama National League South
side Oxford City.
He
had been frustrated with injuries and, despite being back to full fitness,
found starting opportunities limited with Oxford.
He
started his career with Leicester City and progressed through the under-18 and
under-23 ranks.
He
left the King Power Stadium to join Queens Park Rangers in January 2017 and was
a regular in the R`s under-23 side.
After
being released by Rangers, he joined Braintree Town in August 2018 before
switching to National League North side Boston United the following November.
He
returned to the Iron in January 2019 and then made the switch to City in the
summer of 2019.
Meanwhile,
the vastly experienced Shaun McAuley has put pen-to-paper for the 2020/21
campaign.
As
well as his wealth of non-League experience, he will also play a role on the
management team.
Now
34, the midfielder signed for Casuals in September 2020.
He
had returned for a second spell with National League South club Hampton &
Richmond Borough in June 2019 from Kingstonian.
He
had re-joined K`s in the summer of 2018 having originally joined them in
February 2017 on loan from Oxford City.
In
the summer of 2017, he moved up to the National League South and played a big
part in Hampton’s run to the play-off final.
He
has also played for Eastleigh, Hayes & Yeading United and Basingstoke Town.
Also
committing to the Stags for 2021/22 is versatile wide player Josh Andrew.
The
30-year-old signed for Casuals in the summer of 2020 from league rivals Harrow
Borough, who he had joined in November 2018 from Egham Town.
He
numbers AFC Hayes, Hayes & Yeading United, Ashford Town (Middx) and Molesey
amongst his other former clubs. |
