Llandudno have signed George Harry and Cai Owen from Bangor City and brother John Owen, who re-joins from Aberystwyth Town

Manager Iwan Williams told the club`s website: "George has been with us since the start of pre-season and has been phenomenal. His attitude, his commitment, his desire to do well and his finishing in front of goal has been up there with the best I’ve seen."

Harry spent all his youth career at Wrexham where he then went on to progress into the first-team.

"He scored a penalty for Wrexham in his first full debut at home against Torquay, and for someone so young to have the character to do that says a lot about him as a player;" added Williams.

The forward spent last season with Bangor City and scored a fantastic goal at Bala Town in their last game of the season.

"We are excited to see George develop further as he’s still only twenty years of age, but again is as clinical as anyone I’ve seen in front of goal. We’re hopeful that George can take his pre-season form into the Welsh Premier where I’m sure he’ll excel."

Williams said of Cai Owen: “I’ve kept a close eye on his progress especially over the last 18 months and want to develop him here at Llandudno even further. He’s a dynamic and athletic full back who can also play in midfield if needed and will certainly be one to watch in the Welsh Premier League next season."

Llandudno had earlier announced the arrivals of Damian Ketley from Prestatyn, Dan Westwood from Stafford Rangers, duo Steve Thomas and Shaun Pearson from Holywell Town, Ieuan Hewitt signed from Flint Town United, and another Pearson, Michael, who agreed terms to join from Connah’s Quay following an impressive 28 appearances in the WPL last season.

Brother’s Zyaac and Zebb Edwards have both left the Nomads to join brother Kai at the Seasiders. They signed from Prestatyn Town while Kai Edwards earlier signed from Connah’s Quay, having played 32 games and scoring 2 goals.

The club have also signed forward Mark Connolly adding experience and know-how to the new look line-up.

Connolly featured for Rhyl and Bala Town in the WPL, while last season’s under-19’s captain Anthony Marshall signs his first senior contract with the club while Jay Gibbs commits for the 2018/19 season.

Alun Webb is re-united with Williams after the two played together years ago.

Newtown AFC manager Chris Hughes has added three players to his squad for the new season in Steve Leslie, Jake Cook and Sam Phillips.

Thirty-year-old Scottish-born midfielder Leslie came through the youth system at Shrewsbury Town and went on to play 100 times in the Football League.

Hughes described Leslie as an “experienced and quality player”.

He scored 7 goals in 103 appearances for Shrewsbury in a six-year spell, before eventually departing in 2012.

Hughes told his club`s website: "Steve will add to what we already have and his experience is going to be a big plus for us.”

Cook has joined from Guilsfield.

He scored a total of 9 goals for his former club and was originally a product of the Stoke City academy until 2015.

He signed for the Huws Gray Alliance side before a move to Airbus UK Broughton the following season.

After leaving Airbus after a short time before returning to Guilsfield.

The 22-year-old can play anywhere at the top of the pitch and has been training with Newtown for the past month.

Speaking of his new signing, Hughes said: “Jake is technically a really good player who has done well in pre-season.”

Phillips joins having begun his career with Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 19-year-old spent ten years at Wolves prior to his spell at West Midlands (Regional) League side Haughmond FC and in the Swedish second division with FK Osterund.

Phillips also represented Wales at youth level, and is looking to bring that, and his experience in Sweden to the Welsh Premier.

Phillips has scored a few times in pre-season, since joining and is an exciting prospect for the club.

The new trio join ex-Aberystwyth Town and Bangor City midfielder Damien Allen and defender Ben Bailey as the five current new arrivals at Latham Park for the new season.

Aberystwyth Town have announced the signing of experienced left wing-back Steffan Edwards from Airbus UK Broughton.

Edwards had a previous spell with the club back in 2010, when he made 32 appearances during the 2010/11 season, including two appearances in the Europa League First Round play-offs, scoring 3 goals during his stay at Park Avenue.

Edwards joins the Black & Greens with a wealth of Welsh Premier experience, previously appearing as a Welsh under-18 international who started his career with Gresford Athletic, before joining Cefn Druids in 2008.

He has also played in the Welsh Premier with Welshpool Town in 2009, Bala Town for three years between 2011 and 2014 and Newtown between 2014 and 2016 and has made a total of six appearances in the Europa League qualifying rounds.

In addition to that, he’s scored 9 goals in 175 Welsh Premier appearances, and previously spent last season with Airbus in the Huws Gray Alliance.

Edwards joins manager Seamus Heath at Park Avenue for the forthcoming 2018/19 season.
