Defender
Matt Briggs has just returned from international duty with Guyana in the Gold
Cup.
The
30-year-old is a vastly experienced centre-back who was the youngest player to
have ever appeared in the Premier League, having made his debut for Fulham at
the age of 16.
During
his career, he has also had spells at Millwall, Colchester United, Chesterfield,
Barnet and Peterborough United.
He
joined Coggeshall Town from Isthmian League North rivals Maldon & Tiptree
in June 2019, having joined the Jammers in the summer of 2018, but then got the
opportunity to play in Denmark for HB Koge.
Although
he is currently representing the Guyana national team, he has previously
represented England at different age groups, ranging from under-16 to under-21.
Upon
his return from Denmark in March 2020, he signed for Vanarama National League
South outfit Dartford.
Then
in September 2020, the left footed centre-half signed for newly promoted
Danish Superliga club Vejle Boldklub until the coronavirus pandemic cut his
stay in Denmark short. |
