Tate (pictured) took charge of the Stamford-based outfit at the start of the month following
the resignation of Mark Baines.
He
faced a massive re-building project at the Torney Limited Stadium with just one
player remaining from last season's squad.
Tate
saw a 9-0 defeat against Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One
Midlands neighbours and a 3-2 pre-season success at Burton Park Wanderers
before Stones lost 3-1 at home to Peterborough League Premier Division side
Stamford Bels last weekend.
A
club statement said: "Following a very short tenure as manager of
Blackstones FC, Alfie Tate and the club have decided to part company.
"Blackstones
FC wish Alfie success in future projects and are sure he will succeed in any
future ventures.
The
club moved quickly to appoint Ryan Hunnings as their new manager.
He
started his managerial career at Langtoft United and managed there for two
seasons, leading them to the Peterborough Senior Cup final and victory in the
Jack Hogg Memorial Shield, before moving on to Huntingdon Town as joint manager
and then Oakham United as manager.
Most
recently, he has been at Uppingham Town in the Peterborough League Premier
Division, reaching the Senior Cup final before the season was cut short because
of the pandemic.
