Having already signed the likes of Lee Chilton, Mitch Tolley and Paul Sullivan from higher level teams, Wood boss Darren Byfield has now persuaded 27-year-old Monteiro to drop two divisions to try and help win promotion.

Monteiro signed for Alvechurch in July 2019 from league rivals Rushall Olympic.

Born in France, he played in the JD Cymru Premier for Airbus UK Broughton before signing for Vanarama National League North outfit Southport in February 2016.

In the summer of 2017, he moved to Redditch United and in January 2018 onto Halesowen Town.

In July 2018 he signed for Stratford Town, from whom he joined the Pics in December 2018.
