The 26-year-old signed for Boro in June 2020 from another Southern Premier Division Central rival, Banbury United, for whom he made 26 league appearances in 2019/20 ahead of lockdown in March.

He originally came through the Northampton Town youth system and signed a professional deal with the Cobblers in March 2013, prior to making his first team debut against Barnet in the final league game of that season.

The following season he had a loan spell with Corby Town before having two loan spells that season with Banbury.

After being released by Northampton at the end of season 2013/14, he went on to play for Dunstable Town, Bedford Town, Barton Rovers, Brackley Town, Braintree Town and Potton United.

At the start of the 2018/19 season, he joined Stratford Town before moving to Tamworth in January 2019, moving to Banbury.

Diamonds boss Andy Peaks told his club`s website: “I’m really pleased Claudio has joined us. He’s a really good, technical footballer who will bring experience to the midfield. He’s a local lad who is great to have around the squad”.
