Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club Ashton United have re-signed Romanian midfielder Ionuț-Casian Anghel.

The 23-year-old returns to Hurst Cross from Spanish Tercera División outfit Lorca FC.

 

He was originally with FC Dinamo Bucharest, where he played for 10 years in one of the top academies in Romania.

 

He made his debut in the third tier of Romanian football as a 17-year-old before moving to England, joining Ashton United for the first time.

 

He had trials with the likes of CD Leganés in Spain and League Two side Mansfield Town and also gained experience on loan to North West Counties League outfit Wythenshawe Town.

 

He moved to Spain with Lorca in January 2021.

 

Ashton have also signed midfielder Kingsley Williams.

 

Williams (pictured) moved to NPL Division One West outfit Widnes in late January 2020, then NWCL side Prestwich Heys in March 2020.

 

He joined Northern Premier club Radcliffe FC in December 2017 from Trafford having joined them in the close season of 2016 and made 59 appearances and scored 6 goals in total for the Greater Manchester outfit.

 

His career playing in Sheffield United’s youth set up. After leaving the Blades at the end of his scholarship, he moved out to Australia and spent two years playing for Sydney Olympic.

 

He then moved to Spain, playing for Cultural Deportiva Leonesa in the Segunda División.

 

In January 2015, a move to AC Monza fell through and he made his way back to England, whilst back in the UK he had been training with Crawley Town prior to signing for Ilkeston FC in
