Adams, the former manager of Wellingborough Town, Rugby Town and Bedford Town, has taken the decision to re-locate and the club fully understands and respects his decision.

Adams has been excellent since joining in May and his professional approach and dedication have been extremely endearing for all concerned.

Having built an exciting squad of young players and working tirelessly throughout pre-season, it’s a shame it hasn’t worked out at this time.

He has agreed to stay on until the end of September insuring a smooth transition for the players and the new management team.

Adams said: “Last week I notified the chairman that due to a major re-location change for me in the near future would mean that I wouldn’t be able to carry on with the manager`s position at the club on a long-term basis.

“We came to an agreement that I would work with the club through September to not only try to get some more positive results on the pitch but to help in any way possible with recruitment of a new manager thus to help with a smooth transition and help player retention. I’d like to put on record that everyone at Cogenhoe has been fully supportive of me in my short time at the club. The chairman and I have a good relationship and any potential manager going into the club will be well looked after.”

The club are inviting applicants for the position of first-team manager along with full support team.

All interested parties should contact the club directly via email cogenhoeunited@outlook.com or via phone 07793465478.
