Returning to Sports in forward Charley Kendall (pictured), who spent time on loan with the club last season from SkyBet Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

A local Eastbourne lad, the 20-year-old netted 12 goals in 16 games for Rangers` under-18s in 2019/20.

He had signed for the Rs from Boro`s Southern Combination League Premier Division neighbours Eastbourne Town back in 2015.

Kendall follows defender Kasim Aidoo into Priory Lane.

The 19-year-old impressed Boro boss Danny Bloor when he played for League One Charlton Athletic`s under-23s against them in a friendly at the end of last season.

Having come through the ranks at The Valley, he made his senior debut for Charlton in November 2020 in an EFL Trophy victory over Leyton Orient.

But in May 2021, it was announced that Aidoo would leave Charlton at the end of his contract.
