However,
the Blues had an impressive new signing in their ranks.
They
have signed full-back or midfielder Dylan Crowe on loan from League One
neighbours Ipswich Town.
The
20-year-old, who has represented England at under-15, 16, 17 and under-18
level, has struggled to get into the Tractor Boys` senior set-up, despite being
highly rated and previously linked with moves to leading clubs.
His
only appearance in the Ipswich first team came in last season's Papa John's
Trophy, as a young Ipswich side lost to Crawley Town.
Manchester
United, Arsenal, Benfica, Borussia Monchengladbach, RB Leipzig, Celtic and
Brighton & Hove Albion have all been reputedly linked with moves for Crowe,
who also spent time training with Championship outfit Huddersfield Town earlier
this summer.
