Askom Earns Canaries Deal

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hitchin Town have signed defender Delsin Ackom.

Ackom progressed through League One MK Dons’ youth ranks before departing in 2019.

The 20-year-old had spells with then-Spartan South Midlands League sides Potton United, MK Gallacticos and Buckingham Athletic as well as United Counties League outfit Desborough Town.

In the summer of 2020, Ackom took advantage of League Football Education’s Erasmus+ Player Placement, by spending time with Spanish club CD Almuñecar City.

He was offered the opportunity to join the Malaga-based fifth tier outfit, as part of a three-month programme aimed at providing apprentices with an opportunity to experience European training facilities and techniques with a club in Europe.
