Pitching In Isthmian League Premier Division club Cray Wanderers have signed teenage defender Bailey Akehurst on loan from SkyBet League One side Gillingham.

The 17-year-old, who is in the second year of his scholarship at the Priestfield Stadium, has been involved with the first team this season.

 

Akehurst made his first senior appearance for the Gills in their EFL Cup game at Crawley Town in August and he came off the bench in the second round against Cheltenham Town.

 

He was an unused substitute in Gills’ first five league games of this season.

 

He made his Wands` debut in Saturday`s 1-0 home defeat to Potters Bar Town.
