Bircham (pictured) joined the Tudors in July 2020 after enjoying a good deal of success with Berkhamsted
last season, finishing top of the Southern League Division One Central before
the season was cut short due to the pandemic.
Bircham
had an impressive track record as a manager having led Bovingdon to their first
ever Herts Senior County league title alongside the success he and Steve
Bateman had at Berkhamsted, with the latter joining him at Vauxhall Road.
The
club have thanked both Bircham and his assistant Steve Bateman for all of their
hard work and have wished both all the very best for the future.
The
club have moves quickly to appoint Mark Jones to the role of manager.
Jones
has experience at National League South level, managing 150 games over a three-year
period at Oxford City.
A
UEFA 'A' licence coach, Jones has also worked full time in the academies of
Stevenage and Watford and recently spent six months at Yeovil Town as first
team coach.
Jones
enjoyed a particularly successful time in the FA Cup whilst at Oxford City,
reaching the First Round proper three years in a row.
He
will be in the dug-out along with his assistant, Daniel Jones - a UEFA 'B'
licensed coach who joins from Berkhamsted - for tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup
replay with Ware. |
