Defender James Clifton has re-joined Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One Midlands club Corby Town.

The 29-year-old returns to Steel Park from NPL Premier Division side Basford United, who he left the Steelmen for in May 2020.

Predominantly a right-back who can also slot into midfield if required, he switched to then-Southern Division One Central side Corby in early January 2020.

His other previous clubs include Brackley Town and Nuneaton Borough before joining Boston United in June 2017, for whom he made 38 appearances in 2017/18, scoring 3 times.

He then joined Vanarama National League North rivals Alfreton Town in June 2018 and then re-joined Nuneaton in June 2019.
