The 30-year-old started out in the centre of excellence at Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur from the age of 14 until he was 16.

After leaving Spurs in the summer of 2007, he spent a couple of seasons with Combined Counties Leaguers Walton & Hersham before being signed by AFC Wimbledon in July 2009.

The Dons were members of the Conference National then but Banjo was released when they achieved promotion to the Football League in 2011.

He had a season with Ilford in the Isthmian League North before heading north of the border to Arbroath in the summer of 2012.

He played a total of 41 games for the Smokies, scoring 2 goals, and also spent time on loan with Scottish non-League side Kinnoull Juniors.

After a short spell out of the game, Banjo returned to England and joined Casuals` league rivals Farnborough in November 2014 but the following January headed back to Scotland to join Montrose.

He played 9 times and scored 2 goals for Montrose before moving to Berwick Rangers a year later.

After 8 games for Berwick, in February 2016 he joined fourth tier side Kelty Hearts and then Selkirk and Elgin City.

In September 2018, he left Scotland and returned south, eventually joining Vanarama National League South outfit Havant & Waterlooville in March 2019.
