The
30-year-old started out in the centre of excellence at Premier League giants
Tottenham Hotspur from the age of 14 until he was 16.
After
leaving Spurs in the summer of 2007, he spent a couple of seasons with Combined
Counties Leaguers Walton & Hersham before being signed by AFC Wimbledon in
July 2009.
The
Dons were members of the Conference National then but Banjo was released when
they achieved promotion to the Football League in 2011.
He
had a season with Ilford in the Isthmian League North before heading north of
the border to Arbroath in the summer of 2012.
He
played a total of 41 games for the Smokies, scoring 2 goals, and also spent
time on loan with Scottish non-League side Kinnoull Juniors.
After
a short spell out of the game, Banjo returned to England and joined Casuals`
league rivals Farnborough in November 2014 but the following January headed
back to Scotland to join Montrose.
He
played 9 times and scored 2 goals for Montrose before moving to Berwick Rangers
a year later.
After
8 games for Berwick, in February 2016 he joined fourth tier side Kelty Hearts
and then Selkirk and Elgin City.
In
September 2018, he left Scotland and returned south, eventually joining
Vanarama National League South outfit Havant & Waterlooville in March 2019. |
