Rylands Pick Up Experienced Defender
Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One West newcomers Warrington Rylands have snapped up defender Declan Walker from NPL Premier Division side Matlock Town.

The experienced 29-year-old signed for Matlock in July 2020 from league rivals Stalybridge Celtic, where he had been since July 2019 following his departure from JD Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town.

 

He has also featured for Aberystwyth at right-wing and centre midfield and was the Black & Green`s top scorer during the 2017/18 season with 14 goals from right-back.

 

Before joining Aberystwyth, he spent four years at Bangor City and played 19 games for Wrexham in the Vanarama National League, having come through their academy.

 

During his time at Bangor, he featured in their Europa League qualifying campaign and has also featured for the Republic of Ireland’s under-19 side.
