The 20-year-old joins the Tigers ahead of their Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round tie away at Folkestone Invicta on the weekend.

Tomlinson was a member of the Rovers` under-18 side of the 2018/19 season and was offered a professional contract in May 2019.

He had been with the academy set up from the age of 10 and progressed all the way through to scholarships.

Tomlinson made a number of appearances in the 2019/20 campaign for the first team, including four Leasing.Com appearances and also became the first player born after the Millenium to play for the Gas in the Football League, when he came on against Ipswich Town in a 2-1 win.

He has previously spent time on loan at both National League South side Bath City and National League outfit Torquay United.

He becomes Gloucester`s second loan signing of the day, following Leon Chambers-Parillon from Oxford United.
