A statement on https://stainestownfootballclub.co.uk reads: “It is with much regret that Staines Town FC announce the departure of manager Mick Woodham.

“Mick was appointed in the spring, and has secured victories in six of his eighteen matches in charge, but, crucially, League form has fallen short of expectations, and we are currently at the foot of the table (barring inactive clubs). Following defeat at Westfield on Saturday, Mick tendered his resignation on Sunday morning. Although the club was disinclined to accept it, Mick felt that he had pushed the squad as far as he could, and in the circumstances felt it best to pass the job onto someone else”.
