The Knights have already brought in French midfielder Delphin Esteves, former Mansfield Town professional Lewis Croucher and defender Ben Lawrence, and now defender Jason Field has arrived.

Field will be back at the Sir Halley Stewart Field, where he played for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League landlords Spalding United, after leaving new league rivals Boston Town.

Apart from the Tulips and the Poachers, Field also numbers Lincoln United and Boston United amongst his former clubs.

Knights player-manager Ian Dunn said: “He had signed forms at Boston but I spoke to Dennis Greene who is happy to waive a seven-day approach so we can go ahead.

"Unless someone is available, we are not looking to sign players, but Jason left Boston. He has plenty of experience".
