The 30-year-old left Vanarama National League side Maidenhead United in the summer after making 202 appearances for the Magpies, scoring twice.

He initially signed for Maidenhead from St Albans City on loan in February 2016. He went on to play a key role in the Magpies push for the National League South play-offs and was signed up at the end of that season.

One of the leading lights in the Magpies title-winning team, Comey (pictured) started his career at Crystal Palace and played four times in the Football League for the Eagles.

He went on to play for Canvey Island and played then a leading role in St Albans` resurgence as part of their Southern League Premier Division promotion-winning team of 2014, winning an England C cap in October 2014 against the Turkey under-23 side.

He has since been capped 15 times by Montserrat, playing in their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Also joining the Stags is young left back Cadell Fraser-Robinson from Isthmian League Premier Division side Brightlingsea Regent.

The 18-year-old had only signed for Regent on a more permanent basis in the summer after spending time on loan in 2020/21 from National League South side Chelmsford City.

He had signed for Chelmsford early October 2020 after a successful trial.

The youngster came through the highly-rated academy at Premier League Chelsea and then proceeded to do a two-year scholarship at League Two side Stevenage.
