The 30-year-old centre-back has joined the Greens after returning from a three-year spell working and playing in New Zealand.

Nephew of Aylesbury United`s all-time leading goalscorer and appearance holder, Cliff Hercules, Ellis played for Aston Clinton and Winslow United before joining the Ducks.

He helped them to retain their Southern League status at the end of the 2015/16 season and re-signed for Aylesbury the following summer but having been unable to establish himself returned to Thame United where he won the Hellenic League championship.

In January 2018 he emigrated to New Zealand after being offered a job `down under` and played for East Coast Bays in the Northern Regional League Division One until returning to England.
