Stalybridge wanted to extend
Isherwood`s stay at Bower Fold and Stanley had agreed, but the Football League
vetoed the move due to a rule that states that a player cannot return to a
parent club for a Papa John’s Trophy fixture and then subsequently return to
their loan club.
The information surrounding this rule
was last issued by the English Football League in September 2020 and was not
re-issued ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Hill, 24, has represented his country
at senior level on seven occasions.
He started out on his homeland with
United FC before coming to England and signing a two-year scholarship with
Mansfield Town.
He joined Ilkeston Town upon his
release in 2015 and spent a couple of seasons with the Robins before having a
brief spell with Stafford Rangers and then Rushall Olympic.
He joined Canadian side Oakville Blue
Devils in June 2018 and then signed for Hereford FC in March 2019.
He re-joined Northern Premier club
Stafford Rangers in September 2019 and then returned to his homeland with Robin
Hood FC.
