The 31-year-old had been at Runcorn since
September 2016 as a player and was appointed as manager after Chris Herbert's
departure in February 2019.
After discussions with the existing
coaching staff, assistant manager Danny Jarrett, coach Mark Reed and goalkeeper
coach Paul Singer will all be leaving the club as Town look to re-vamp their
coaching line-up following an indifferent start to their campaign.
John Shaw and Adam Reid have agreed to
take charge of the team as an interim management team until the club can make a
permanent appointment. That will be starting with Saturday’s game home against
Charnock Richard.
A statement on http://www.runcorntown.co.uk
states: "We are ideally seeking a candidate who has previous experience of
managing at NWCL level or equivalent. The candidate should have the skills,
drive and determination to mount a significant challenge in the 2021/22 season
and beyond. The candidate will be
responsible for all first team matters including squad recruitment/selection
and leading training sessions. The role will involve working with the development
team manager to provide player progression within the club.”
Anyone interested in the position should
apply direct to the club chairman Lindsay Berry whose email is
chairman@runcorntownfc.co.uk. All enquiries will be treated with the strictest
confidence.
The deadline for applications is
midnight on Monday, 18th October with interviews hopefully taking place that
week.
