The
19-year-old has been in fine form for the under-23 side this season.
Burns,
who has been with the club since under-14s level, has netted 8 goals in 9 games
in league and cup this term, including the winner away to Chelsea in Rovers’
last Premier League 2 outing earlier this month.
Also
joining FC United but on dual-registration from Vanarama National; League North
side Darlington is winger Omar Sanyang.
The
21-year-old is a pacey attacking player who signed for Darlington in September
2021 from National League North rivals Bradford Park Avenue.
He
had joined Avenue in November 2020 from NPL Division One East side Tadcaster
Albion, where he had only spent two months.
He
came to England as a youngster and was introduced to football when he joined
Leeds United.
He
then had spells with Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers` under-18s and last
season with Scunthorpe United under-23s where he was a casualty of a mass
release of players due to the financial implications of Covid 19.
Darlington
have, however, stipulated that he can't play for the Reds in the Buildbase FA
Trophy. |
