Hunt
will, however, be remaining with the club as head of football.
In
this role, he will be assisting in the future development of the club, helping
to take it to the next level, which has always been part of the long-term plan.
Hunt
was born and bred in Evesham but spent several years on the books of Cheltenham
Town before injury curtailed his career.
The
50-year-old stepped up from running Evesham's youth team to take on the first
team job following the departure of Carl Abbott in March 2020.
He
previously managed Pershore Town, Stourport Swifts and Malvern Town and had an
earlier stint with Evesham as assistant manager under Paul West and was also
number two to Matt Gardiner at Redditch United in 2010.
Hunt
will continue as manager until a replacement is found, and the club have thanked
him for his endeavour and commitment during a very trying period.
The
club are now inviting applications for the position of manager and are asking
for applications to be submitted to: events@eveshamunitedfc.com.
