The
30-year-old versatile defender played 5 times on loan at `Marine earlier this
season before returning to parent club, Vanarama National League South Bath
City.
A
product of Bristol City’s academy, he signed a professional contract in July
2010.
Although
he suffered a number of injury problems, he twice had his contract at Ashton
Gate extended before being released in May 2012.
After
joining National League South club Bath City on trial that summer he impressed
sufficiently to be offered a one-year deal at Twerton Park.
He
soon secured a regular starting place and has since been one of City’s most
consistent and impressive players ever since, both at full-back and in the
centre of defence, picking up the player of the year award for the 2015/16
season.
He
has made over 250 appearances for Bath and spent part of the 2018/19 season on
loan at Supermarine`s league rivals Tiverton Town.
Manager
Lee Spalding told his club`s website: “Everyone could see from Dan’s first loan
spell with us that he was an excellent player and brought a solidity to the
Marine defence and we are excited to bring him back into the squad for the
remainder of the season”. |
