Njie recently worked his back to fitness following an injury that kept him out for a year and was training with SkyBet League Two side Swindon Town.

Njie has immense strength and finishing ability as a striker and he has played for several teams in England, including Stoke City, Coventry City and Cheltenham Town, although he is no stranger to the non-League scene, having also had spells with Nuneaton Borough, Worcester City and Boston United as well as back home in Gambia with Real de Banjul and, most recently, Turkish Superliga side Hatayspor.

He starred in Scorpion of Gambia's under-20 team where he made his international debut against Morocco.

He was a star as a youth player where he picked up a players' player of the year award and `golden boot` accolade for scoring 30 leagues in his first full season in youth football.
