In Josh Williams` case, it`s a welcome return to Wodson Park.

The 22-year-old winger had signed for Southern Premier Division Central side Royston Town in September 2020.

He originally joined Ware in September 2019 from league rivals FC Romania for whom he played a significant role in their promotion from the Essex Senior League to the Isthmian North in 2018/19.

Joel Jacobs, a full-back with lots of experience, has also been added to the squad.

Jacobs joined Isthmian League South Central outfit Hanwell Town in the summer of 2020 having been a regular member of the Bracknell Town side that just missed out on promotion in 2019/20.

He previously played, other than for Bracknell, for Egham Town, Ashford Town (Middx), Chalfont St Peter and North Greenford United and is also something of a dead ball specialist.

He made 7 appearances for Hanwell this season prior to switching to Wodson Park, 11 in 2020/21 and 33 in 2019/20.

Ware`s other signing is that of 19-year-old Sam Caiger(pictured) .

An adventurous full-back capable of playing on either side of defence, he was released by Premier League West Ham United in the summer.

Joining the Hammers as an under-11, he progressed through the famed academy to become a regular in the under-18 and then the under-23 sides.

He put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract in the summer of 2020 but was out of action for some time with a torn hamstring.

It was still a surprise to many when he was allowed to leave the London Stadium at the end of last season.
