Twenty-five-year-old Millfield School teacher Mawford has turned out for Weston-super-Mare, Mangotsfield United, Bridgwater Town, Paulton Rovers and Dorchester Town and joins City following a third spell with City`s league rivals Weston.

Seymour joins the Tigers on a three-month loan deal from SkyBet League Two side Exeter City.

He signed his first professional contract at Exeter in April 2017 but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.

He also netted plenty of goals during a loan spell at Southern League West side Bideford AFC last season, scoring 24 goals in 35 games.

Winger Jamal Lawrence too is retained from the back end of last season and also showed enough during the pre-season to earn a place in the City side for the coming campaign.

City manager Marc Richards told http://www.gloucestercityafc.com: “I’m delighted to be able to sign both Jake and Jamal. Both give us options up front and have been brilliant in pre-season. Jamal showed his quality at the end of last season for us at National League South level and Jake is also proven in this league, has great vision and is great at bringing others in to play. In terms of the start of the season, I think we’re just about there. There are a few injury niggles that we’re managing but nothing that should concern us for the beginning of the coming league campaign.

“We’re really excited to be able to bring in Ben. He’s someone that we think will give us strength in depth but also provide competition for our forwards. He gives us options and with a long season coming up with hopefully better runs in the Cups, it’s vital we have that squad depth”.
