The 19-year-old comes in on a one-month loan to boost the squad in the ongoing absence of senior right-back Michael Duckworth, who will be out for at least another month.

Senior has made 5 first-team appearances for home-town club Bolton after signing his first professional contract in May 2020.

He has spent time on loan at Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division side Ashton United this season, making 7 appearances and scoring 3 goals.

York manager Steve Watson told https://www.yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk: “I’m really pleased to get a bit more balance to the squad.

"For a while now we’ve had square pegs in rounds holes in that position – Sam and Olly did well there for a long time but to get a natural right-back in can only help us.

"He has played a lot of games in the league below us which is the main thing you want from a 19-year-old – you want them to have played in that type of environment and knowing that they can physically handle it ticks a big box for us".
