Gibbons,
who turns 28 next week, joins from Isthmian League Premier Division side
Wingate & Finchley, who he signed for midway through the 2020/21 campaign.
He
came up through the ranks at Championship side Queens Park Rangers from where
he had a loan spell at Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle
before moving on to Yeovil Town.
He
then went on to Wingate before playing for Phoenix Rising in Arizona, where
amongst his team-mates in the United States were Didier Drogba and Bradley and
Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Upon
his return to England, he signed for Whitehawk under Steve King before
following him to Vanarama National League South outfit Welling United in the
summer of 2018.
He
switched to the Wings` league rivals Chelmsford City in July 2019 and then to
another in Dartford the following October before re-joining Wingate midway
through the 2020/21 season.
He
made 10 starts for Wingate this season before making the switch to the Meadow,
where he made his debut against Hendon on Saturday. |
