The
30-year-old signs after leaving Vanarama National League South side Chippenham
Town.
Jackson
began his career with Championship side Bristol City, before heading out on
loan to Hereford United, Aldershot Town, Northampton Town and AFC Telford
United.
In
2012/13, he joined Hereford on a permanent following release by Bristol City,
scoring 7 goals in 25 appearances.
A
one-season spell at Bury, and a four-game loan spell with Lincoln City, led to
the striker heading to FC Halifax Town and Oxford City.
In
2015, he joined Tranmere Rovers but only stayed up north for six months before
re-joining Oxford City and scoring 7 goals in 8 games.
He
then spent two years with Newport County from 2016 to 2018 but was only used
sparingly.
In
September 2018, he joined the new Hereford FC and scored one goal in 6
appearances for the Bulls.
He
spent the latter half of the 2018/19 season in the National League South at
Weston, scoring an impressive 10 goals in 14 games for the Seagulls, although
he couldn`t prevent them from being relegated.
In
the summer of 2019, he moved on to National League North outfit Gloucester City
before switching to Chippenham in July 2020.
Weston
boss Scott Bartlett told his club`s website: “Marlon is a good, experienced
striker, and a good character. He’s had a good career he also had a good spell
here before and has done well at Gloucester and Chippenham since.
“We
have some excellent strikers at the club, him and Nick can take the younger
ones under their wings which will be valuable for us as we enter another busy
period of games”. |
