Powell Returns to Wales With Martyrs
Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Merthyr Town have signed striker Lewis Powell from Southern Division One South side Larkhall Athletic.

The experienced 33-year-old crosses the bridge having already scored 12 goals in 16 games for the Larks.

 

Powell started his career at Swansea City before joining Bristol Rovers in 2006.

 

He went on to play for Clevedon Town, Mangotsfield United, Taunton Town, Chippenham Town, Frome Town, Weston-super-Mare and Evesham United.

 

He signed for Larkhall in 2018 and netted 25 goals in 2018/19, the last full completed campaign.

 

Powell told the club`s website: “I’m pleased to get the deal done as it’s been going on for a while now.

 

“I’ve got a lot of experience in the Southern League, which is a tough and demanding division, so hopefully I can help the club push up the league.

 

“Merthyr is a massive club. The main ambition for me is try and help the club as much as I can and hopefully get back up the league where the club should be”.
