Burnett
signed for Bromley in August from Leatherhead`s league rivals Margate.
He
was no stranger to Hayes Lane, having been part of Bromley`s under-15s and
under-16s within the youth academy, where he played an important role in the
under-15s reaching the JPL Trophy final back in 2018.
As
a youth player, he was also selected to play for Kent and did so for four
years.
Prior
to joining Bromley, he spent time in the ranks of Premier League Crystal
Palace.
Following
his time at Hayes Lane, he moved on to Margate, where his talent and drive
would earn him a place in the first team and made his debut in the Emirates FA
Cup aged 17, against Hayes & Yeading United.
During
the 2020/21 season, he was spotted by National League South side Tonbridge
Angels, where he eventually signed on dual registration. However, he was unable
to make any appearances as the season below the National League was soon
curtailed.
During
his time with the Gate, he made 15 appearances, playing every match until the
season came to an end as a result of the pandemic.
Earlier
this season, Burnett made 4 appearances on loan with another Isthmian Premier
outfit, Cray Wanderers. |
