Three
have come in on loan from SkyBet League One neighbours Fleetwood Town in Billy
Batch, Danny Edwards and Akiel Raffie.
Defender
Batch (pictured) signed his first professional deal with the Cod Army in June.
The
18-year-old has been involved with the first-team after making consistent
appearances in the joint-longest FA Youth Cup campaign in the club’s history
and was in the squad that took on Hull City in the EFL Trophy in January 2021.
Batch
has been performing in Town's under-18 and under-21s and put pen-to-paper on a
deal until the end of the 2021/22 season, with the club holding an option of a
further year.
Midfielder
Edwards also put pen-to-paper on his first professional deal with Fleetwood in
the summer.
The
18-year-old has also been involved with the first-team this season as he was on
the bench for Town’s Papa John’s Trophy win over Sunderland in October.
Raffie,
another midfielder, signed his first pro contract in April.
The
18-year-old Aussie earned his first-team debut back in October 2020 when he
came off the bench Fleetwood’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa in the Papa John’s
Trophy.
After
a consistent season, Raffie put pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of the
2022/23 season, with the club holding an option for a further year.
Also
joining the Mintcakes is midfielder Nathan Cloudsdale from West Lancashire
League side Hawcoat Park.
Prolific
Vickerstown striker Scott McDonald has also been snapped up by new Kendal boss
Beattie.
The
prolific marksman has smashed 12 goals in the West Lancashire League this
season.
And
Beattie has also signed goalkeeper James McClenaghan from North West Counties
League Premier Division side Litherland REMYCA.
McClenaghan
numbers Glossop North End, Ashton Town and Widnes amongst his former clubs. |
