Berko Return for Akubuine

Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Berkhamsted have re-signed defender Daniel Akubuine.

The 27-year-old returns to Broadwater from Southern League Premier Division Central side Hitchin Town, for whom he had made 19 appearances this season.

He had signed for Hitchin in October 2020 from Vanarama National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town where he had been since the summer of 2020 after arriving from neighbours Berkhamsted.

His first spell with the Comraded started in the summer of 2019 after arriving from rivals Kempston Rovers.

He had signed for the Walnut Boys in 2018 from Scottish side Albion Rovers after a spell in Sweden with Ytterhogdals IK and Skelleftea AIK.

The former Watford and Brighton & Hove Albion scholar, who also had spells with Kettering Town Hayes & Yeading United, can play either as a full-back or wing-back.
