Hunter
was appointed in May 2020.
He
is a well-known figure in the SCEL, having been involved with clubs for the
past 15 years.
He
has worked previously at Erith & Belvedere and Beckenham Town and was part
of the successful management team at Fisher that challenged for the Premier
Division title two years ago.
He
was part of the Punjab United team early in the 2019/20 season before joining Darren
Anslow’s coaching setup at Lordswood in January 2020.
Hunter
released a statement, saying: “I’ve resigned, and I’d like to thank every
player that has put on a Lordswood shirt for me over the 13 games last season
and the 20 odd this season, it’s been an absolute pleasure. I wish nothing but
the best for the whole club going forwards.”
Lordswood’s
vice chairman, Paul Caulfield said: “We would like to thank Neil for all his
efforts during his time with the club, it’s disappointing things haven’t worked
out the way we would have hoped for him, and we wish him all the very best.
“Assistant
Manager, Imran Englefield will take temporary charge of first team matters
until a new manager is appointed”.
