Pitching In Isthmian League North Division club Great Wakering Rovers have appointed the vastly experienced John Coventry as their new manager.

Coventry has a wealth of experience having spent some eighteen years with Isthmian Premier Division side East Thurrock United as coach and manager.

 

He helped the Rocks to promotion from the Isthmian Premier Division to the Conference South and presided over more than 700 games.


More recently, he has been director of football at Rovers` league rivals Aveley.

 

Rovers` chairman David Patient thanked Glenn Robson for his time as interim boss following the departure of Stephen Butterworth.
