Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club Mickleover have signed vastly experienced goalkeeper Jonathan Hedge and re-signed former skipper Jake Scott.

Hedge (pictured), now 33, is a former England C international keeper who hadn’t pulled on the gloves after leaving Mickleover`s league rivals Gainsborough Trinity in 2017 before signing for NPL Division One East side Sheffield FC in October 2018.

 

Vastly experienced, he has also seen service with Wakefield, Harrogate Town, Halifax Town, Tamworth, Cambridge United, Grimsby Town and AFC Telford United.

 

Scott re-joins Sports from Toolstation Northern Counties East League First Division side Retford.

 

The 28-year-old originally joined Mickleover after leaving the sadly now defunct Shaw Lane AFC in 2016 and then moved to league rivals Gainsborough Trinity in September 2020.

 

He started his career at Barnsley at the age of 7 until 2013 where he signed for Worksop Town following his release.

 

He then went to Bradford Park Avenue, Gainsborough Trinity and Shaw Lane.
