Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One Midlands club Cambridge City have snapped up vastly experienced Scott Bridges from Southern League Premier Division Central side Royston Town.

A tenacious and hardworking midfielder, he re-joined Royston in June 2019 having helped Hayes & Yeading United win the Isthmian League South Central title in 2018/19.

 

He had signed for Hayes & Yeading in the summer of 2018 having spent the previous five seasons with Royston, making around 200 appearances for the Crows.

 

He started out in the youth ranks at Aston Villa before moving to Banbury United for a spell before leaving the game due to work commitments.

 

He returned to football with Ardley United before re-joining Banbury, joining Royston during the 2013/14 season and captaining them to promotion in 2016/17.

 

He made 9 appearances for England at under-16 and under-17 levels.
