Howes
has added prolific striker Josh Bertie to his squad on dual-registration terms.
The
25-year-old British Virgin Islands international joins from Sydenhams Football
League (Wessex) Division One title challengers Andover Town.
Although
born in London, Bertie`s previous experience came in the United States with
Cowley Tigers and Lander Bearcats.
Bertie
has scored 31 goals in 26 games for Andover this campaign, and in October
became Town's all-time top goalscorer.
Scoring
a brace against Fleet Town, in his 100th game for the Hampshire side, took his
record to 56 goals.
Bertie
has since extended his tally to 71 in 112 games before Dorchester came calling.
The
forward has this season played four games for his country in the CONCACAF
qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, failing to score.
The
Magpies have also announced the return of striker Olaf Koszela (pictured) on loan until
the end of the season from Vanarama National League side Torquay United.
Koszela
was a hit with Dorchester fans last season, previous boss Robbie Herrera
convincing his former club Torquay to loan the bustling forward for a month.
Koszela
joins for a second spell until the end of this season, having promptly scored 3
goals in his initial stay at the Avenue Stadium.
After
progressing through the youth ranks at United, Koszela signed his first
professional deal with the Gulls in March 2019 after proving himself to be a
prolific goalscorer at youth level.
The
forward has spent the first half of the current season on loan at Dorchester`s
league rivals Tiverton Town, scoring 9 goals before November including a
hat-trick against Beaconsfield Town.
And
Glenn Howes made it a hat-trick of new arrivals by acquiring the services of
Harvey Bertrand from Wessex Premier side Blackfield & Langley.
The
19-year-old is the brother of Leicester City`s former Chelsea and England star
Ryan Bertrand and spent time in Spain playing for Puerto Malagueño after being
released by Championship side AFFC Bournemouth and also spent time on trial
with Dutch side Volendam.
He
then returned to England and signed for Dorchester`s league rivals Wimborne
Town in October 2020, joining Blackfield & Langley in the summer.
