The 32-year-old had re-joined the Bucks in June following a 26-game spell with National League outfit Wrexham, who he signed for in August 2020 from Altrincham.

He had moved to the J.Davidson Stadium in February 2020 from York City.

He had signed for the Minstermen in September 2019 after he had been trialling with a number of clubs after his release from then-League Two side Macclesfield Town in the summer of 2019.

He joined Macc in July 2017 having been a mainstay in the Chester FC side in 2016/17, appearing in all 46 league games, 42 of them from the start, and netting 8 times.

He arrived at Chester after a successful season with Tamworth that saw him finish as their top scorer with 13 goals. Previously he had spent time Wrexham after bursting onto the non-League scene after a prolific spell with Hednesford Town.

Over two seasons he scored 58 goals in 95 games for the Pitmen to establish himself as one of the hottest properties in non-League football.

He also caught the eye of the TV cameras and had the chance to showcase his talents after being selected for Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy, aimed at providing more opportunities for non-league footballers.

He made 55 appearances for Macclesfield over his two seasons with the Silkmen and was notably named in the National League ‘team of the year’ for 2017/18 after winning promotion back to the Football League with the Cheshire-based outfit. Injury hampered his time in League Two in 2018/19, but he still managed to find the back of the net 4 times in 18 games from midfield.
