Biddle
took sole charge of the Alfredians in May 2020 following the departure of Tom
Austin.
The
pair had originally been appointed as joint bosses in June 2019.
Both
were former Wantage players. Biddle is local and had relatively recent
experience of playing at the Southern League level.
As
well as Wantage, Biddle also played as a central midfielder for Abingdon
United, Willenhall Town and Market Drayton Town, but his playing career was
unfortunately cut short due to a triple ACL injury.
He
has coaching experience in America and assisted at Hellenic League side Milton
United.
Biddle
has been a valued member of the club for the last four seasons and has been an
asset to the club, who have placed on record its thanks to him for all his time
and commitment that he has put into the club as manager and committee member.
Biddle
will now take some time away from the game.
First
team coach Jack Wells has also made the decision to stand down.
Wells
joined the Freds at the start of this season and has been a fantastic addition
to the coaching staff.
Assistant
manager James Keller (pictured) has now been appointed as manager and further
announcements are expected within the coming days regarding a new assistant manager
and new coach.
Keller`s
first game in charge will be at home this Saturday against Biggleswade FC. |
