Sargeant
signed professional terms with the O’s in June 2016 when he penned a two-year
deal with the club.
A
product of the academy, Sargeant featured on the Orient substitutes bench on a
number of occasions before making his professional debut in spectacular fashion
on the final day of the 2015/16 season as he produced a man of the match
display against Yeovil Town to be named in the Football League `team of the week`.
The
keeper made 18 appearances across all competitions in the 2016/17 and in June
2018, the club announced that Sargeant had signed a new two-year deal.
He
had to be patient for opportunities from the 2018/19 season as Dean Brill
became an ever present but he found himself with a couple of opportunities in
2019/20, keeping two clean sheets in two games.
On
the back of 15 League Two appearances, Sargeant signed a further two-year deal
in January 2020, extending his stay at the club to 2022.
Towards
the end of the 2021 summer transfer window, Sargeant made the switch to Wealdstone`s
league rivals Barnet on an initial two-month loan deal. |
