Having taken over the reins during the 2017/18 season with the team close to the bottom of the UCL Division One, Forrest initially stabilised things before guiding the team to a more than creditable fourth-place finish at the end of his first full season in charge.

Progress continued the following season when he guided the team to the top of the table as well as securing a place in the final of the Northants FA Junior Cup.

Unfortunately, COVID struck which resulted in a 'null & void' season being declared and with that it took away the opportunity of winning what would have been a memorable double.

Whilst the 2020/21 season didn't quite reach the highs of the previous season the team were well positioned in fourth place in the table when the season was once again brought to a premature end.

As part of a planned restructure of the football pyramid, a points-per-game formula was applied resulting in the team being offered a place in the UCL Premier Division South and with it Step 5 football; this was well deserved and was testament to the results and achievements of previous seasons.

The club accepted a place at Step 5 and currently sit in a comfortable mid-table position.

Forrest said: "I've had a wonderful 4 years at Bugbrooke, and I would like to thank everyone that has been on this journey with me. Having picked up the reins with the team close to the foot of Division 1 I am leaving with the club comfortable at Step 5, this is something that I can, and will look back on with immense pride.

"I am leaving the club in a healthy position with a lot of young talent coming through however now feels the right time for a fresh challenge and with that comes a new face to lead the club forward.

"In the meantime, I will do all that I can to ensure that we finish the season on a high".
