The young
defender (pictured) has been recalled from his spell with League Two outfit Salford City to
join the Mariners on loan for the rest of the season.
The
20-year-old linked up with the Ammies in August but found game time limited,
only making 4 appearances.
The
Banbury-born centre-half has been on the Tigers’ books since under-9 level and
featured twice for the first team, against Fleetwood Town last season and Wigan
Athletic in August.
The Mariners have also added Scott
Burgess to their squad.
Burgess'
contract at Port Vale was terminated earlier on Friday and the midfielder has
now penned a deal until the end of the season.
Burgess
progressed through the academy system at Bury FC, penning his first
professional contract with the club in the summer of 2015, twelve months after
making his debut in a draw away to Morecambe at the age of 16.
After
multiple loan spells at the likes of Macclesfield Town, Wrexham, York City and
a short spell at Norwegian club Bergsoy, Burgess signed for Port Vale in May
2019.
During
his time at the Valiants, Burgess made a total of 62 appearances in all
competitions, scoring on four occasions and was also nominated for the club’s young
player of the year for the 2019/20 campaign.
