Forward
Rhys Turner (pictured) arrives at Irongate from league rivals Lancaster City.
The
26-year-old first came to prominence when scoring over 60 goals in a season for
Myerscough College which led to a deal with Stockport County in the summer of
2013.
He
scored 6 times in 21 games before joining Oldham Athletic at the end of January
2014.
Over
a season and a half at Boundary Park he scored 3 times in 25 games, and he also
scored once for York City in 10 games in a two-month loan spell for September
2015, scoring once and made 5 appearances on loan with Macclesfield Town in
January 2016, scoring once.
In
the summer of 2016, he was released by the Latics and joined Morecambe where he
scored twice in 44 appearances.
In
January 2018 he was loaned back to Stockport and scored 4 times in 18
appearances for them.
He
was released by the Shrimps in June 2018 and joined Barrow AFC but he suffered
from injuries before joining Lancaster in August 2020.
Midfielder
Jake Thompson has also joined Brig from NPL Division One North West side
Ramsbottom United.
He
had signed for Rammy in August 2020 from NPL Division One East side Liversedge.
He
re-joined `Sedge in July 2019 from Eccleshill United having originally been with
Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town as a youth. |
